This 4-day Georgia tour from Tbilisi combines the historic capital, the Greater Caucasus Mountains, and Georgia’s best-known wine region in one private journey.
The itinerary is designed for travelers who want to experience several of the country’s most important destinations without spending a full week on the road. Over four days, you will explore Tbilisi Old Town, travel along the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi, visit Gergeti Trinity Church, and spend a full day discovering Kakheti, Sighnaghi, and Georgian wine.
Your first sightseeing day is dedicated to Tbilisi, where historic churches, traditional neighborhoods, sulfur baths, modern architecture, and panoramic viewpoints are concentrated within a relatively small area.
On the second day, your 4-day Georgia tour continues north through Zhinvali, Ananuri, Gudauri, and Stepantsminda. From Stepantsminda, a 4WD vehicle takes you to Gergeti Trinity Church, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Caucasus.
Day three is devoted to Kakheti. You will visit a traditional bakery, Bodbe Monastery, Sighnaghi, a local family winery, and KTW Winery, with Georgian wine tastings included.
For travelers comparing short Georgia tours, this itinerary offers a practical balance of culture, mountain scenery, wine, and private guided transport. It is also a good choice for visitors looking for a Georgia tour package that starts and ends in Tbilisi while leaving accommodation flexible.
Because the 4-day Georgia tour is private, the experience is arranged for your party rather than a shared group departure.
Tour Map
After arriving at Tbilisi International Airport, your private driver will transfer you to your hotel. You will have time to check in and rest before starting the first sightseeing part of your 4-day Georgia tour.
The Tbilisi walking tour begins in the historic center, where many of the city’s major landmarks are concentrated within a relatively small area.
Start near Metekhi Church and learn about the legends associated with the foundation of Tbilisi. Continue toward Europe Square and Rike Park before seeing the modern Bridge of Peace.
The route continues through the older parts of the city, including Anchiskhati Basilica, Sioni Cathedral, the Patriarchate of Georgia, Jan Shardeni Street, and the Tamada, or Toastmaster, statue.
You will also see the Clock Tower and several landmarks that show how different periods of Tbilisi’s history coexist within the same neighborhoods.
Take the cable car toward the Narikala area for elevated views over the Old Town. From here, visit the Mother of Georgia monument before continuing toward the Juma Mosque and Abanotubani, Tbilisi’s historic sulfur-bath district.
The walk finishes near the Bridge of Love and Leghvtakhevi Waterfall, a natural corner hidden behind the busy streets of the Old Town.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day two is a full-day Kazbegi tour from Tbilisi, following the Georgian Military Highway north toward the Greater Caucasus.
The first stop is Zhinvali Reservoir, known for its turquoise water and surrounding mountain landscape.
Continue to Ananuri Fortress, a historic fortified complex overlooking the reservoir. Your guide will explain the history of the site and its importance along this centuries-old route through the Caucasus.
Afterward, continue toward Gudauri, with time for lunch along the way.
At the Gudauri Panorama, stop for wide views across the surrounding mountain ranges and valleys.
The journey then continues to Stepantsminda, commonly known as Kazbegi. From the town, transfer to a 4WD vehicle for the drive up to Gergeti Trinity Church, one of Georgia’s most recognizable mountain landmarks.
Standing above Stepantsminda at approximately 2,170 meters above sea level, the church offers expansive views across the surrounding Caucasus landscape when weather conditions are clear.
After the visit, return to Stepantsminda and drive back to Tbilisi. This mountain day is one of the main highlights of the 4-day Georgia tour.

Approximate end time: 18:30
Day three of the 4-day Georgia tour is dedicated to Kakheti, Georgia’s principal wine-producing region and one of the country’s most important cultural landscapes.
Your first experience is in Badiauri, where you will stop at a traditional Georgian bakery. See how Georgian bread is baked and taste freshly prepared bread with local cheese.
Continue to Bodbe Monastery, closely associated with St. Nino, the fourth-century figure traditionally credited with bringing Christianity to Georgia. Her burial place is located at the monastery.
From Bodbe, travel to Sighnaghi, a small hilltop town overlooking the Alazani Valley. Walk through its historic center, see sections of the defensive wall, and enjoy views toward the Greater Caucasus.
Sighnaghi is often called Georgia’s “City of Love”, partly because of its association with weddings and its 24-hour civil wedding service.
Wine is an essential part of the day. Visit a local family winery to learn more about Georgian winemaking traditions and taste three wines.
You will then continue to KTW Winery, where five additional wine tastings are included.
The contrast between a smaller family cellar and a larger Georgian winery gives you a broader introduction to the country’s contemporary wine culture.
After the wine tour, return to Tbilisi.
On the final day of your 4-day Georgia tour, your private driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Tbilisi International Airport according to your flight schedule.
The tour concludes after visiting Tbilisi, Kazbegi, and Kakheti, combining historic landmarks, Caucasus scenery, traditional food, and Georgian wine in one compact itinerary.
