This trip has some amazing scenery to offer as well as an experienced and interesting tour guide to make the whole experience enjoyable. The guide was very funny and had some amazing stories to share. We had lunch in a very nice homely place that offered a very authentic experience.

Being in Tbilisi and so close to Armenian, I wanted to go see. And I’m so glad! The UNESCO monasteries were fascinating and the tour guide very knowledgeable. Beyond that, the setting is stunning with rugged mountains and towns clinging to the plateau. Learning about the history, culture and even humor of the place was so interesting. There is a huge difference between Tbilisi and this side of Armenia—I highly recommend you go see… but do it with a guide! (Lunch was delicious but would never have found on our own.) Professional, courteous, interesting— guide was great.

Tour Ben organizzato.
Bravo e visita ben fatta.

Very interesting tour with an amazing guide!
What a wonderful day trip to Armenia! It will bring you back in time, experienced a real life time machine! You will discover its past history and still experience at present. This tour takes you to the past, Once you get into Armenia, it looks like time has stopped and you suddenly just entered in another dimension! The places visited, the monasteries, are such peaceful places, with an unexplainable peaceful and chanting atmosphere. Akhtala, Haghpat and Sanahin monasteries are classified as a World Heritage Site were built in the 10th-13th centuries. They are a testament to Armenia’s rich and ancient spiritual history and are well worth a visit, well preserved, wonderful inside and outside.
We had lunch in a convivial atmosphere in a local family home. The food was delicious and lunch was a pleasant experience.
We really had the best tour with Tornike and Sophie to Armenia. Torneki was very informative and knowledgeable of the history of each place, we learned a lot about Georgian and Armenian culture and history. He was fun to be with and friendly! Sophie was my contact person at Gamarjoba Georgia Tours. She was so kind, an amazing lovely young lady who make sure that we have the best tours to all our 5 booked tours in Gamarjoba. The assistance was really excellent! and of course, to our driver (i forgot his name) who was great as well drove safely, myself and my good friend Fe had a good nap 🙂. We had such an amazing time chatting with them. They were very enthusiastic and friendly as we enjoyed our long drive with endless conversation along the way and clicked lots of pictures from the stunning view on the stops as we explored.
They made the whole experience very fun and enjoyable. The monasteries were beautiful and glad that we got to see a glimpse of Armenia in our short time here.
We would highly recommend this day trip tour to Armenia and Gamarjoba Georgia Tours.
