We had the pleasure of driver and tour guide Ioane for a trip from Tbilisi to the Jvari Monastery outside the city, before heading off to Jinvali Reservoir for some beautiful photo opportunities.
Each stop on the tour became more spectacular, as the scenery unfolded as we climbed into the mountains. Ioane was a perfect host, keeping us entertained with lively convesations and some traditional Georgian music on the sound system.
For lunch we had some delicious food, including a fresh trout which we scooped out of the restaurants pond with a net, talk about fresh!
The day continued with a stop in Gudauri and then off up to the Kazbegi mountains, where Ioane arranged a breathtaking parasail flight for us.
Great day with a first class driver/guide – many thanks Ioane, we will be back! W & J

The tour was just so pretty. Everything was arranged in a plan. We have seen very beautiful scenes and natural, historical places. Our tour guide David was so friendly and helpful. He made our day! Also Sophie, the product manager, is so sincere. She asked many times about how we are, how the tour is going. It was an unforgettable day trip in the virgin mountains of Georgia. There is only a bad thing about the tour that it came to an end as every good thing does! Do not miss this chance and join them one day! All loves

What makes a good tour is finding an awesome guide who goes out of his way and explains everything. Georgi (George) was one such guide. He was so friendly and nice. This tour company is great for having such guides like this. Thank you!!

Thanks to coordinator, Baya, guide, Natalia, and driver, George, our day trip to the Kazbegi region was the highlight of our family vacation to Georgia. The trip was a wonderful value as we were picked up from our hotel at 9 am and dropped off at 10 pm. They even provided car seats for our small children. Highly recommended.

    Everything was perfect!
Our guide Giga was great! He was on time, drove very well and was fun. He told us a lot about georgian culture, the history, the nature and monuments visited.
Even with some unexpected requests from our side (ooops we need to take luggage etc.) he was fine and helped us with everything. He was patient when we needed long to order and wanted to spend more time somewhere (paragliding, drinks. ..).
The organisation and communication before was also easy and good.
We needed some help some days after the tour and even then, he helped us and organized what we needed.
Sooo, i can only recommend them, and especially Giga!!

Did multiple tours with Gamarjoba Georgia and they were all nice experiences. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. A special thanks to Baya and George. Baya, my contact person, was quick to respond to every question, very informative, and incredibly sweet. She checked in multiple times during the tours to make sure everything was OK. George, tour guide/driver, is very easygoing and went above and beyond to make the trip to Kazbegi memorable, giving the time and opportunity to thoroughly enjoy the beautiful views and locations, and giving loads of background information. I really recommend Gamarjoba Georgia Tours and will definitely contact them again when I return to Georgia.

I have to say that Gamarjoba Tours were there for me before I even landed in Tbilisi. Baya, tour manager, was attentive to my needs and wishes and tailored my private tour to accommodate what I wanted in detail…I arrived at 5am and Nicholas and Misha were there waiting for me to take me on my adventure around Kazbegi to the very top! We quickly clicked and even did paragliding together! Amazing memories that really made my first day the best in Georgia! Recommend them big time!

We spent two-weeks holidays in Georgia and visited different areas, but this tour has become a real gem in our trip. Although not as serene and untouched as the remote village of Ushguli in Svaneti region, Kazbegi boasts a real divine glory and breathtaking views of Caucuses. Not only are the route and scenery amazing, but also the service of the tour company. Seamless organisation, quick response, great value for the money paid. Lots of praises to our welcoming and knowledgeable guide Giorgi, who mixed the narrative with many interesting facts that made it more memorable, gave us advice on off the beaten track places to visit in Tbilisi, and made an amiable company to spend the full day with. I definitely recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful time visiting Georgia and it’s mainly because of our travel guide ‘Salo’ from Gamarjoba Georgia Tours. She (Salo) was not only very knowledgeable but also extremely friendly and sweet (something very rare to find in Georgia). She was very clear and concise while explaining to us the history behind each & every site that we visited. Heartfelt thanks to Salo for all her efforts in making our trip a truly memorable one.

We has a fabulous trip on this tour. Our guide Demuri was brilliant – friendly, attentive and so wonderfully knowledgeable.

The drive was packed with stunning scenery and we experienced sun, snow and beautiful autumnal landscapes!

Its definitely worth the trip up to the church at the end to see more amazing views and to see inside the monastery too!

Couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Thank you!

Took this tour with my friend. Just the two of us in the car with our guide Giorgi and our driver Misha. We had such a great time on that tour, sights were exquisite. We took a 4×4 up to the church next to Kazbegi to amazing views. Giorgi was super knowledgable and lovely, telling us everything there was to know about each site visited. He’d also give us a quick minute to enjoy on our own and wander around a bit. The trip was very well organized, we started at the furthest point, Kazbegi, and then stopped at all other sites on the way back, which meant no crowds at all. The drive was smooth and easy, occasionally stopping for cows crossing roads. The overall vibe was just very positive and friendly, and we couldn’t have been happier with our tour. Highly recommended!

We have done tours with this company for the third time now and it was really good everytime. The bus is comfortable, the guides speak nearly perfectly English and tell you a lot about the georgian culture, some insiders and you can have a great chat with them. We were 4 students from abroad and would definitely recommend Gamarjoba Tour! 🙂

Super consigliato!

As we were guided by Mariam on this cool December evening walk in the streets of Tblisi, we realized that the true beauty of it is the heart of the people itself.

A very unforgettable event for me and my wife.

Thank You Gamarjoba Georgia Tours for making this happen.

Thank You Mariam for blessing us with a True Georgian Spirit of warmth and friendship.

    God Bless this Country!!!

As is usual for Gamarjoba tours, timely pick-up,excellent car and driver and a well-informed, friendly guide-Giorgi!
it was our first snow experience and our son especially loved it.
Just one word of caution-if you travel at a time when snow is expected, make sure you carry your snow boots along!

The Kazbegi tour was definitely the most exciting experience in our visit to Georgia. The success of tours to mountain areas depends on several factors: weather, general organisation and guides. While the first one is in the full control of the Lord, the rest depends on the agency you work with.
Gamarjoba staff was very proessional from the early stages of planning the tour and until very last minute we said “Thanks & bye” to our guide Katerina and driver Zura.
Zura’s driving is very safe which is extreamely important on the sometimes narrow and slippery roads and Katerina’s guiding is friendly, unobtrusive and informative.
The views are breathtaking, especially in a good weather and the Gergeti church must not be missed (the visit is maked as optional by Gamarjoba).
    Some practical suggestion:
    1. dress appropriately, it can be very windy
    2. put on shoes with a good greep
    3. for the photgraphers: you’ll be able to use all lenses from wide angle to tele.
    4. leave the Ananuri fortress for the way back to have more sunlight in the mountains

the sight seen from Gudauri to Kazegi is really great…you will drive between mountain full of snow and the experience is really exciting…you need to be careful if you are driving but if you are not driving then you can enjoy the nature from your car window..my rating 5 star is just because of the company of our tour guide Georgio (George) and teh driver…these guys were amazing….one of the best tour guides in Georgia…

If you write this experience in great detail, it will probably be like spying a new movie. It would be much better to expect and experience. So … start the spoiler
Nika Kharazza picked up her hotel in the morning
Greeted lightly and got on the car ready.
There was a friend who drove, and the guide focused on explanation and consideration.
In fact, the SIM card that I bought the day before was not registered, so I was quite nervous.
(Sim card is good to solve at the airport and start the journey)
I already knew where to travel, and I looked for everything, but wherever I heard it was a wonderful experience.
Boots from the lakeside stand helped all day.
The scenery along the way to the Gethetti Church was just the beginning of admiration.
It does not capture the scenery of the most famous place, the Gethetti Church.
It is a very beautiful landscape that can only be seen with your eyes.
I paraglided at the Gaunari ski resort and I highly recommend it.
But it was too cold to prepare.
Writing down the feeling of looking down from the sky is meaningless.
    It’s more than you think.
On our way back, we looked around some really nice medieval buildings at Fort Ananuri.
Every thing I saw was a movie that seemed to come out.
The guide was very friendly and thanked her for explaining and caring.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE WITH A GREAT GUIDE!
This was a fantastic tour! It covers some of the most beautiful scenic spots, the Gudauri ski resort, and the Gergeti Holy Trinity Church that is located at such a mind blowing place – on the foothills of Kazbegi mountains.

There was a snowfall when we were in Gudauri and at Friendship Arch of Georgian and Russian People which made my good friend Fe so excited as it was her first time to see snow capped mountains and experienced snowfalls.

Our guide Katerina was amazing! She went out of the way to make us comfortable while keeping the tour informative, exciting and fun! It felt more as a friend took us around her homeland, rather than an arranged tour. Will definitely recommend this tour and Gamarjoba Georgia Tours.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Garmarjoba Georgia Tour thanks largely to my knowledgeable guide, Guga Evgenidze and my nerves-of-steel driver, Mikheil Meladze.

I was transferring from Tbilisi to Kazbegi to stay for 2 nights. I was picked up at my Tbilisi hotel and dropped off at the end of the day at my Kazbegi hotel (tired and windblown but very happy).

The sights along the way were interesting (the Jinvali reservoir, the Ananuri Castle and the Russian Georgian Friendship Monument). We also stopped by the confluence of 2 rivers that in Spring would have different colors but at this time of year, there was not much to see. What was more interesting was getting to talk to Guga and Mikheil about Georgian history, politics, food, sports and music. These guys have a real passion for their country and an enthusiasm that was contagious.

By the time we reached the friendship monument and Gergeti church, we were battling strong winds and new snow (the ride up to Gergeti was pretty challenging). So I didn’t spend much time at these sites but I got great photos of the mountains and mountain roads in snow.

Meals and the jeep ride to Gergeti (50GEL) were in addition to the tour cost. I thought the restaurant Guga chose for lunch was so good and walked back down to it the next day for lunch.
