An amazing experience and the right introduction to Georgia. Food is always a good way to get introduced to a new culture and that’s what Beka, my guide for the day did. Exploring and taking long walks across the bylanes was worth it as we gorged on Georgian doughnuts, Adjarian Khachapuri and gulped down with Laghidze water. The icing on the cake was masterclass of Khinkali,Khachapuri, eggplant with walnuts,Georgian salad and corn bread with a local family. Highly recommended for all who wants to start their journey in Georgia through their stomach.

I came to Tbilisi without any expectations, for me it was just a two days holiday in a country that I have only seen in maps. Now I m leaving in love with this city and its food and people.
Beka took me to a walk around the city, he showed me around the most important places and gave me a taste of Georgian food and drinks at every stop.
It s amazing how many interesting details you can get to know when you are walking with locals.
I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to turn a normal trip into one “trip to remember”.
Just come with an empty stomach, walking energy and give yourself to Tbilisi and Beka.

Pd: the best part comes at the end of the tour!!! You ll learn how to make your own Georgian food!!
Taking recipes back home is the best souvenir!!

I arrived at 4:40am into Tbilisi and after getting some sleep, this was the perfect tour to start my trip as it started at 4:00pm. Tornike was a great guide as the conversation was awesome as we headed to different parts of town to try Georgian food, wine and drinks. The evening ended making dinner in a woman’s home and feasting together.

BE VERY HUNGRY for this tour, try Georgian Lemonade (Pear is amazing) and ChaCha and be open to chatting up your guide. I found all my Gamarjoba guides were engaging and willing to answer any question you had. Perfect start to a stay in Georgia!

Booked this tour, ended up being just me and two wonderful guides, Young Stallin and Keto. Visited multiple locations and tasted 11 different dishes. Great company and the host we visited her house was very hospitable and helped show me how to make the food. Worth every $. Would recommend to all visiting Tbilisi. Do this tour of you want something different. You won’t regret it!

I did a good tour with Ana. We were very fortunate to have her as guide she was extremely knowledgeable about country and traditions, very enthusiastic, kind and caring. The love to her country was shining through every story and any reply to our questions. It’s a very unique tour as it’s also a great sightseeing tour: you visit mail trinity cathedral of Tbilisi and the highest point of the city mount Mtatsminda, twisting traditional food on the way. But the highlight was visiting GEORGIAN host Maya, who with Ana gave us a looking class. They both helped us to prepare five dishes and then we have such a lovely dinner with wine and chacha that we almost forgot about the time. Highly recommend! Thank you so much, Ana and Maya!

Went on the 5 hr food/drink tour with Tiko, and it was excellent! It included a lot of walking, but this was necessary to balance all the delicious food we ate! Would definitely recommend this tour, Tiko as a guide, and the company as a whole 🙂

The best part for me was the cooking class at a local’s home. This kind of experience is unique, and Tiko made us feel comfortable the entire time!

The food tour… one of the must do things in Tibilisi, Georgia. Definitely keep your tummy empty because it’s worth it!
A total thank you to Giorgi Meg from Gamarjoba Georgia tours who made this tour a lot of fun. He was so knowledgeable and friendly and made it memorable.
The tour makes you experience local Georgian delicacies and you also learn the traditional ways of preparing it. Giorgi made sure that he not only explained about the local food culture but also the Georgian culture. If you plan on staying in Georgia for atleast 4N, then I would recommend taking this food tour 🙂
In short it was a great experience!

Absolutely loved the vibe of this city and all the amazing people that live within it and how proud and happy they are.Really loved the cable car and the Funicular Restaurant at the top of the mountain. I look forward to one day returning very soon.

The tour was great. Our guide was George and he was very informed about the city. We walked around the city, went to a house where maya enlightened us about the local cuisine along with cooking with her. We also took the funicular to go to the top where the view was fantastic. Great trip, really well organised and amazing tour agency

I was booked to do this tour and had to cancel literally at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances on my part. The manager and my guide treated the whole thing with incredible kindness and generosity. While I have no doubt that I missed out on an amazing tour, it’s the way a company handles things when they don’t go to plan that speaks volume and this spoke of integrity you don’t find very often. On that basis alone I highly recommend this young energetic team of people. I will be recommending them to anyone coming to Georgia and I look forward to returning and doing the tour.

This excellent day tour out of Tbilisi by Gamarjoba Georgia Tours blended a nice relaxing day of tasting traditional clay pot wines and traditional Georgian bread, with sharing experiences with my fellow travelers (there were 4 of us) and our excellent guide, George Turkadze.
The visits to wineries and to the bread making village were pretty informative, but for me, the highlight of the day was having lunch at the restaurant above the winery, not just because of the great food, but because it gave us all a chance to talk about Georgian culture, food and history.
We also visited the monastery of St. Nino (I thought it was particularly interesting to watch parishioners interact with St. Nino’s grave) and the town of Sighnaghi (which I thought was less interesting but was also at the end of a long day that had a good deal of wine).
Lunch and the cost of wine tasting at the second winery (10GEL for 2 wines) was an additional cost. Entry into the wine cave and wine tasting at the first winery were included in the tour cost.
i think the chemistry of this tour group was excellent and credit is due to George for helping bring out the best of our group.

Shoutout to guide Ekaterine, Mariam and toastmaster Beka! We were here on a school trip and it was awesome.

We visited Tbilisi with a schooltrip and had the best time exploring the city with Gamarjoba tours! On our first day, we did the Jvari- Mtskheta private tour (4 hours) in the morning and the food&drink tour in de afternoon/evening. Our guides were guide Ekaterine, Mariam and toastmaster Beka! They were the best!!

The morning tour was very nice, and the view from Jvari monastery was amazing! At 4 p.m. we started the food&drink tour. At first the guides showed us the Cathedral and we ate some delicious Katchapuri! After that we took the metro and had to climbe for a little while. At this moment we arrived at some tram which took us into the mountains, it was absolutely breathtaking! The view from up here was very beautiful. We had some typical Georgian style donuts and then we took the minibus (also known as the party bus) to a local family.

I honestly have to tell you that this was the most valuable moment in my trip to Georgia. We arrived at a local family and they taught us how to make some typical Georgian dishes. After this we ate at long tables with the whole group. This was so special. Toastmaster Beka made this a night we will never forget.

Speaking off the partybus I mentioned before, there are no normal rides in this bus.. We were free to connect with the bleutooth audio system and partied very hard in the bus, every single time. We had the best night, and after we arrived back at the office of Gamarjoba, Tata and Beka were kind to show us some clubs in the city! Again, this was an unforgettable night!

The next day, we were planning on having a wine tour through Georgia. This also was very nice. We had the same guides and they definitely knew our group of 26 people now. They didn’t even feel like our guides anymore, bus they were just part of the group! The tour was lovely and took is to some beautiful places that we wouldn’t have seen if it wasn’t with this tour.

We had three different tours with Gamarjoba and we are so happy we have done all three of them. We had some difficulties with paying in cash (this is nessecary at Gamarjoba) because all of the ATM’s in the city weren’t able to give us the big amount of money in GEL.. So we had some talks with Sasha (the manager) and he helped us very well.

I would definitely recommend Gamarjoba Tours if you visit Tbilisi, because you will never be able to find such special tours and guides!

I can honestly say that we made some very good friends in Georgia with all of the employees that we spoke to! They would offer us a glass of wine every single time we arrive at the office and they said if we ever had trouble in the city, they would have our backs!

So again, I would like to thank all of you so much for the last few days and I hope we can show you the Netherlands sometime soon as well!
